Clients come to The Audio Garage for vehicle safety and collision avoidance systems every day. Our team of product specialists and installation experts not only understand the features and benefits of parking sensor systems, but we know how to install them to achieve the best possible performance and reliability.
The Unfortunate Truth
Sadly, it is not always possible to see what is going on behind your vehicle when you are backing up or parking. Statistics show that thousands of children are involved in accidents each year because a driver could not see them behind their vehicle. More than 60% of these accidents involve an SUV, minivan or truck. Having a safety system installed can help prevent these tragedies.
Parking Sensor Systems
The Audio Garage offers several different options when it comes to parking sensor systems. These systems use small ultrasonic transceivers to detect objects around a vehicle. When the signal sent from the transmitter is reflected back by an object, the control module will produce a clearly audible beeping sound.
We have parking sensor systems that include just rear sensors or kits that include both front and rear sensors. We can install either system on almost any vehicle.
Parking Sensor Interface
As soon as you put the transmission in reverse, the parking sensor system starts working. As you approach an object, the sensor system will start beeping. At a distance of about three feet, the beeps are slow in tempo. In the one to two foot range, the beeping speeds up. When you are within 12 to 24 inches, the beeping is very fast. Finally, at distances under 12 inches, the beep becomes a steady tone that lets you know you need to stop right away.
Some of our parking sensor kits includes small displays that will show you which sensor is detecting the presence of an object. We also offers sensor kits that show the distance to the object on a compact display.
Expert Installation
There is no ambiguity here when it comes to installations. Making an electrical connection is easy. Doing it properly is not. Knowing where and how to make each connection takes training and experience. Our team treats every connection with attention to detail and care to ensure it is both electrically solid and reliable.
When we mount sensors on your vehicle, how we route the wiring is as important as where we install the hardware. Our goal is for your vehicle to look like we never touched it at all, except to make it more convenient to operate.
Parking sensors systems can prevent everything from small scratches and dents to injury or worse.
